“It’s all about the Small Stuff”

The days after the event are the best times to narrow your focus on just a few changes that you are going to make. And I have found that it is always better to create some action in a few areas right away to see the benefit from the programs you attended.

Here’s an approach that I use:

  1. Start with one or two areas that you want to focus on. For each one get specific now. Write down the exact change that you want to make or practice.
  2. Post this note where it is visible (in your day timer, on  your Action Plan, a screen saver, etc.)  and start everyday with by focusing on how you will make that change.
  3. Notice the changes. Our brains loves proof so look for evidence that your changes are working. Remind yourself that your extra efforts are creating positive rewards.
